LAW ENFORCEMENT Just like civilian riders, law enforcement officers are subject to the same daily challenges of one’s safety, if not more so, because of the nature of their jobs. Police departments in Asia and Europe have recognized this ever-increasing problem and have implemented steps to reduce the amount of injury to their officers. Motorcycle airbag jackets are currently being used by police departments in Japan, Spain, Brazil and Taiwan just to name a few. Unfortunately, the third killer of police officers is motorcycle accidents (with auto accidents and shootings being first and second) our police officers deserve better.
